Check for Suspicious Activity
Gmail/Google:
- Go to myaccount.google.com
- Click Security
- Look at Recent security activity
- Check Your devices - Do you recognize them all?
Facebook:
- Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings
- Click Security and Login
- Look at Where You're Logged In
- See any devices you don't recognize?
Apple ID:
- Go to appleid.apple.com
- Sign in
- Look at Devices
- See anything unfamiliar?
What to Do If You've Been Hacked
Step 1: Change Your Password Immediately
Make it completely different from the old one.
Step 2: Sign Out of All Devices
Most services have an option like "Sign out everywhere" or "Sign out all devices."
Step 3: Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
This sends a code to your phone when someone tries to sign in. Essential protection!
Step 4: Check Connected Apps
Remove any apps you don't recognize that have access to your account.
Step 5: Scan for Viruses
Run a security scan on your computer and phone.
