How to Clear Your Browsing History ๐Ÿงน

Want to erase the websites you've visited? Here's how to clear your browsing history.


Why Clear History?

  • ๐Ÿ”’ Privacy - Others using your device won't see where you've been
  • ๐Ÿ’พ Free up space - History and cookies take up storage
  • ๐Ÿ”ง Fix website problems - Sometimes old data causes issues

On iPhone/iPad (Safari)

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Safari
  3. Tap Clear History and Website Data
  4. Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data

This removes:

  • โœ… Websites you visited
  • โœ… Cookies
  • โœ… Search history

On Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome browser
  2. Tap the three dots โ‹ฎ (top right)
  3. Tap History
  4. Tap Clear browsing data
  5. Choose time range (Last hour, All time, etc.)
  6. Make sure Browsing history is checked
  7. Tap Clear data

On Computer (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Press Ctrl + H (Windows) or Cmd + Y (Mac)
  3. Click Clear browsing data on the left
  4. Choose time range
  5. Check what you want to delete
  6. Click Clear data

On Computer (Safari - Mac)

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click History in the menu bar
  3. Click Clear History
  4. Choose time range
  5. Click Clear History

๐Ÿ’ก What Gets Deleted?

โš ๏ธ Important Warning

Be careful about clearing "Passwords" and "Autofill" - This will log you out of websites and delete saved passwords!

Recommendation: Only clear:

  • โœ… Browsing history
  • โœ… Cookies
  • โœ… Cached images

Leave passwords alone unless you have them saved elsewhere.
