How to Move Apps on Your Home Screen 🔄
Put your favorite apps where you can find them easily. Here's how to rearrange them.
On iPhone
Step 1: Enter "Wiggle Mode"
- Press and hold any app icon
- Wait 1-2 seconds
- A menu appears - tap Edit Home Screen
- All the apps start wiggling!
Step 2: Move the App
- Press and drag the app you want to move
- Slide it to a new spot
- Other apps will move out of the way
Step 3: Exit Wiggle Mode
- Tap Done (top right)
- Or press the Home button (older iPhones)
On Android
Step 1: Pick Up the App
- Press and hold the app icon
- Wait until it "lifts" slightly
- The phone might vibrate
Step 2: Drag and Drop
- Keep holding and drag to the new location
- Lift your finger to drop it
Moving to Another Page

iPhone:
- Enter wiggle mode
- Drag the app to the edge of the screen
- Hold it there - you'll slide to the next page
- Drop it where you want

Android:
- Hold the app
- Drag to the edge of the screen
- Wait to slide to the next page
- Drop it
💡 Organization Tips
Put your most-used apps:
- ✅ On the first page - Easiest to find
- ✅ In the bottom row - Stays visible (iPhone "dock")
- ✅ In folders - Group similar apps together
To Create a Folder:
Drag one app on top of another app. They'll combine into a folder!
⚠️ Can't Move an App?
Some apps are locked in place (especially built-in ones on some phones). If an app won't move, it might be a system app that can't be rearranged.
Putting Apps Back
Changed your mind? Just drag them back the same way. There's no "wrong" way to organize - do what works for you!
