How to Set Alarms and Timers ⏰

Your phone can wake you up, remind you of appointments, and time your cooking. Here's how.


The Difference

  • Alarm = Goes off at a specific TIME (like 7:00 AM)
  • Timer = Goes off after a specific DURATION (like 20 minutes)

Setting an Alarm on iPhone

  1. Open the Clock app
  2. Tap Alarm at the bottom
  3. Tap the + in the top-right corner
  4. Scroll to set the time
  5. Choose which days to repeat (optional)
  6. Tap Save

To Turn Off an Alarm:

Toggle the green switch next to it to OFF (it turns gray).


Setting an Alarm on Android

  1. Open the Clock app
  2. Tap Alarm
  3. Tap the + button
  4. Set your time
  5. Tap OK or Save

Setting a Timer

  1. Open the Clock app
  2. Tap Timer at the bottom
  3. Scroll to set hours, minutes, seconds
  4. Tap Start

  2. Tap Timer
  3. Enter the time
  4. Tap Start

⚠️ Make Sure Volume is Up!

Alarms use your phone's ringer volume. If your phone is on silent, you might miss it!

Check: Settings → Sounds → Ringer Volume
