How to Set Alarms and Timers ⏰
Your phone can wake you up, remind you of appointments, and time your cooking. Here's how.
The Difference
- Alarm = Goes off at a specific TIME (like 7:00 AM)
- Timer = Goes off after a specific DURATION (like 20 minutes)
Setting an Alarm on iPhone
- Open the Clock app
- Tap Alarm at the bottom
- Tap the + in the top-right corner
- Scroll to set the time
- Choose which days to repeat (optional)
- Tap Save
To Turn Off an Alarm:
Toggle the green switch next to it to OFF (it turns gray).
Setting an Alarm on Android
- Open the Clock app
- Tap Alarm
- Tap the + button
- Set your time
- Tap OK or Save
Setting a Timer
On iPhone:
- Open the Clock app
- Tap Timer at the bottom
- Scroll to set hours, minutes, seconds
- Tap Start
On Android:
- Open the Clock app
- Tap Timer
- Enter the time
- Tap Start

Using Your Voice
iPhone:
- "Hey Siri, set an alarm for 7 AM"
- "Hey Siri, set a timer for 15 minutes"
Android:
- "Hey Google, wake me up at 8 AM"

⚠️ Make Sure Volume is Up!
Alarms use your phone's ringer volume. If your phone is on silent, you might miss it!
