How to Set Up a Streaming App Like Netflix or YouTube 📺

How to Get Started
Step 1: Download the App
- iPhone: Open the App Store, search for the app name, tap Get
- Android: Open the Play Store, search for the app name, tap Install
Step 2: Open the App and Create an Account
- Open the app
- Tap Sign Up or Get Started
- Enter your email address
- Create a password
- For paid apps, you will choose a plan and enter payment info
Step 3: Start Watching
Browse or search for something you want to watch and tap it. That is it.
YouTube Is the Easiest Place to Start
YouTube is free and already installed on most Android phones. You do not need an account to watch — just open the app and search. Try searching for things like:
- "How to knit a scarf for beginners"
- "Classic Frank Sinatra songs"
- "Easy dinner recipes"
- "Chair exercises for seniors"
💡 Tips
- Use WiFi when watching videos. Streaming uses a lot of data and could make your phone bill expensive if you use cellular data.
- If a show or movie says "rent" or "buy," that is an extra charge on top of any subscription. You do not have to pay it — there is always plenty of content included.
- You can pause and come back anytime. The app remembers where you left off.
- If someone in your family already has Netflix or another app, ask if they can add you to their plan. Most services allow multiple people.

- If an app asks for payment and you are not sure what you are signing up for, stop and ask someone you trust before entering your credit card.
- Free apps with ads are completely normal. You can skip most ads after a few seconds.
