STOP! Don't Do These! 🛑
DO NOT:
- ❌ Turn phone ON if it's off
- ❌ Press ANY buttons
- ❌ Plug in to charge
- ❌ Use hair dryer (too hot!)
- ❌ Put in microwave (NEVER!)
- ❌ Shake it hard
These make it WORSE! ⚠️
Step 1: Turn OFF Immediately ⚡
If phone is ON:
- Hold power button
- Turn OFF right away
- Do NOT turn back on!
This is CRITICAL! Water + electricity = damage!
Step 2: Remove Everything 📱
Remove quickly:
- 📲 Phone case
- 💳 SIM card tray (use pin or paperclip)
- 🎧 Headphones
- 🔌 Cables
Step 3: Dry the Outside 🧻
Gently pat dry with:
- Paper towels
- Clean cloth
- Soft towel
Pat gently - don't rub hard!
Step 4: Get Water Out 💧
Position 1: Upside Down
Hold phone upside down. Let water drip out for 5 minutes.
Position 2: Gentle Shake
Gently shake phone (port facing down). Water should come out.
Position 3: Tilt and Pat
Tilt each direction. Pat with towel after each tilt.
Step 5: Use Rice or Silica 🌾
Best: Silica gel packets (little packets in shoe boxes)
OK: Uncooked rice
- Get large bowl or bag
- Fill with rice or silica packets
- Bury phone completely
- Leave for 24-48 hours
💡 Longer is better! Wait at least 24 hours!

Don't use:
- ❌ Hair dryer (melts inside!)
- ❌ Oven (WAY too hot!)
- ❌ Microwave (destroys phone!)
- ❌ Compressed air (pushes water deeper!)
- ❌ Vacuum cleaner

Try turning on:
- Remove from rice
- Check charging port for rice
- Plug in charger
- Try turning on
If turns on: ✅ Great! Test everything!
If doesn't turn on: ❌ Needs professional repair
