How to Schedule a Video Call š
Want to plan a video call for later? Here's how to schedule it and invite others.
On Zoom

From Computer:
- Open Zoom and sign in
- Click Schedule
- Fill in:
- Topic: "Family Chat" or whatever you want
- Date and time
- Duration (estimate)
- Click Save
- Click Copy Invitation to get the link
- Email or text the link to your family
From Phone:
- Open the Zoom app
- Tap Schedule
- Fill in the details
- Tap Done or Save
- Choose how to send the invite (email, text, etc.)
On Google Meet

From Computer:
- Go to meet.google.com
- Click New meeting
- Click Schedule in Google Calendar
- Add:
- Title
- Date and time
- Guests (their email addresses)
- Click Save
- Click Send to email the invite
On FaceTime (iPhone/iPad)
- Open FaceTime
- Tap Create Link
- Name your FaceTime
- Tap Add People and choose contacts
- Share the link via text or email
š” What to Include in Your Invite
When you send the link, add:
- š Date: Saturday, March 15th
- š Time: 3:00 PM (your time zone)
- š Link: [paste the meeting link]
- š Note: "Click the link at 3pm to join!"
ā ļø Helpful Tips
- Send a reminder the day before
- Include your phone number in case they have trouble
- Start 5 minutes early so you're there when they join
- Test your setup before the scheduled time
Time Zones
If family is in a different time zone, be clear about the time:
ā "3:00 PM Eastern Time" ā "3:00 PM" (confusing if they're elsewhere)
