WhatsApp is a messaging app that also does:

Setting Up WhatsApp 📝
First time?
- Download WhatsApp from App Store or Play Store
- Open the app
- Enter your phone number
- Verify with code sent via text
- Add your name
- Upload profile photo (optional)
Making a Video Call 📞
Call one person:
- Open WhatsApp
- Tap Chats at bottom
- Find the person you want to call
- Tap their name to open chat
- Tap the video camera icon at top
Or from Calls tab:
- Tap Calls at bottom
- Tap + (plus) at top-right
- Find person's name
- Tap the video camera icon next to their name
Group Video Calls 👥
Call multiple people at once:
- Open WhatsApp
- Tap Calls tab
- Tap + (plus)
- Tap New Group Call
- Select contacts (up to 8 people)
- Tap Video call icon
During the Call 🎥
👀 Controls you'll see:
- 🎤 Mute - Turn your microphone off
- 📹 Camera off - Stop your video
- 🔄 Flip - Switch camera (front/back)
- ➕ Add person - Add another person
- ❌ End call - Hang up
Answering WhatsApp Video Calls 📲
When someone calls you:
- You'll see incoming call screen
- Tap green video icon to answer with video
- Or tap phone icon for voice only
- Swipe up to decline
Tips for Better Calls 💡
Connection:
- Use WiFi instead of cellular data
- Saves your data plan
- Usually better quality
Picture-in-Picture:
- Tap home button during call
- Call continues in small window
- You can use other apps
Settings to Check ⚙️
Give WhatsApp permissions:
iPhone:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to WhatsApp
- Turn ON:
- 📷 Camera
- 🎤 Microphone
Android:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Apps
- Tap WhatsApp
- Tap Permissions
- Allow Camera and Microphone
Troubleshooting 🔧
Can't make video calls?
- Update WhatsApp to latest version
- Check camera/microphone permissions
- Restart your phone
Poor quality?
- Move closer to WiFi router
- Close other apps
- Make sure you have good signal
Echo/feedback?
- Use earbuds/headphones
- Or ask other person to lower volume
Data Usage 📊
Video calls use data:
- About 5MB per minute on cellular
- Use WiFi when possible
- Check your data plan if unsure
