Finding the Search Bar
The search bar is usually at the top of your email app. Look for:
- A magnifying glass icon 🔍
- A box that says "Search" or "Search mail"
How to Search
Step 1: Tap or Click the Search Bar
👀 You'll see a blinking cursor ready for you to type.
Step 2: Type What You're Looking For
You can search for:
- A person's name - "John Smith"
- A company - "Amazon" or "Medicare"
- A subject - "appointment" or "receipt"
- A word in the email - "password" or "confirmation"
Step 3: Press Enter or Search
Results will appear showing matching emails.
💡 Search Tips That Help

Still Can't Find It?
Try these:
- Check your Spam folder - It might have been filtered
- Check Trash - You may have accidentally deleted it
- Try different words - Search "flight" instead of "airplane"
- Check the date - Some apps let you filter by date
⚠️ Important
Deleted emails in Trash are usually removed after 30 days. If it's been longer, the email may be gone permanently.
